Thanks Gigi. Just wish I had more time right now to read through all of this. I appreciate the info and will dig into this after my sister's visit next week.
Hey Rochelle. It sounds like you have a wonderful job doing what you love. I hope to one day do this full time. I'd love to come to a tea party but I live way across the country in Washington. Maybe some day. Thanks for sharing your introduction. ...
I started a new discussion to separate this talk about submitting from the rest of the discussion. It makes it easier to follow. (Sorry, it's the accountant in me wanting to organize these threads)

I will keep you informed of what I find out at the conference where there will be several agents for me to meet. I did find an article on a site last night that attending conference is the best way for agents to notice you and they can help decide...

Hi Gigi,
I met my hubby at Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington (35 years ago!). We lived there for five years and have many friends in Spokane and in the Bellingham area. We loved it there...
As far as advice for the "mother of the groom," I think I might need to talk with you about that one! :)
Hi Gigi! Thanks for the "shout out" on my book. I used to live in Washington while in the Navy. My husband and I were stationed at Whidbey Island and I really loved the scenery there. The weather... well, I could do without all that rain, and I missed "real" seasons (like here in Michigan) LOL! But I met some wonderful people there and grew in a close relationship with Jesus while I lived there too. I'd love to go back someday and visit my church family and other friends who are still there.
Sounds great. I sent a request to join but so far I don't think I have access to the group. Do you know how to get me "in"? I have a lot of friends with special needs kids as well, more by coincidence (or providence!) than anything else, but I'll refer them as well. I think it will be a great resource!
Hi Gigi! I too have been a caregiver. I worked as a nursing assistant in a hospital for a few years as well small jobs doing home health. I worked for some time with children with special needs. I tell you, I believe this is one of the most challenging things we could be faced with, don't you? I cannot imagine how difficult this would be if it were my own child. I commend you for your determination to share that with others. I am also in the process of writing a book called "Sugar and Spice and Everything in Between." I have been pitching to editors but just began and have had neither rejection or acceptance. I figure (even though I check my email like 50 times a day) that it will happen when it happens and to give the power to whom it truly belongs to. Good luck to you on your journey for publication. I share your pain! :o)
