The type of thing I worry about with seven granddaughters. Melinda said "Half my student are "homebound" because of maternity leave!" - What can we do to keep our children young and innocent?
Hey friend,
Totally feel your pain. Half my student are "homebound" because of maternity leave! Just being there - available - present when they speak to you is a huge part of your ministry! You know better than me how to do that. Share your heart...
Kathy - You ask some tough questions. I have found in life we have to get to the root of the issue. So, I why do we have misguided children? I wish I had more time to write my thoughts but today I've got a lot going on. I just dropped by to encour...
I find myself wrapped up in the drama and challenges my students face. I have some real doosys! Jail birds, skippers, pregnancy (some on their 2nd), and some just suffer from severe apathy.
I want them all to love life the way I do and enjoy ever...
New to the teaching profession myself, I quickly realized that teaching is what God made me to do. I have really always "taught" in every job that I have had. Here I finally get to call myself a teacher. I teacher Business Education in the High Sc...
Wow, sounds like God has done an exciting work in your family's life. Your son sounds like he'll have a wonderful legacy. I always enjoyed my mother telling the story of my birth (I'm not adopted, but due to some health problems, it was a miracle my mother could carry me full term.) I'm sure your son will cherish the way God brought him to you. As I pray our girls will too. Lily is 8 and Rayelle turns 5 next week. She had many tantrums when we brought her home (she's called a Spicy Baby because of the part of China she was born in.) She's lived up to her name many times! But in the last 4 yours she's developed quite a wonderful personality. She's a leader, cuddly and throws way less tantrums now. It's great to see how God works in our kids' lives. Watching them has definitely helped my faith to grow like nothing else.
So, you're a writer too. That's wonderful. I suppose you've always written? Or did you develop your love of writing along the way? I've always written, wished I didn't because it can be a burden. And now am simply trying to embrace it and ask the Lord to use it in whatever way He wants. It's been a long and painful journey, but I'm thankful for it. I'll be praying for your book. That's quite exciting. Is this your first book?
So glad you joined this group and look forward to keeping in touch.
Hey Kathy my family and I lived for 10 years in Odessa(Go Panthers) and then when my hubby passed I moved my children back home to East Texas....I remember coming out "West" from Virginia just after hubby retired from military and took a over the road trucking job for Merchants....I kept looking at all the dry/flat land in the Midland/Odessa area and asking my hubby "Where are we? THIS is NOT the Texas I was raised in" lol.... I was born in Monahans but daddy took us east when I was about 5 years old so was raised with lakes/pine trees, and hills.....I don't miss the wind of the west but sometimes I miss the folks...
Well glad your here, stop and see me sometime....Looking forward to being friends....
So glad you joined! Do you mind telling me a little about yourself? Have you adopted, or are you in the process? I'm excited to chat about our experiences.
