While my schedule has changed - teaching is still at the core of what I do!
From teaching full-time for five years before our daughter was born to teaching homebound students now - it is challenging, but worth it if I can minister to these students…

Mother's Day
Mother's day brings a mixture of emotions for me. My relationship with my birth mom was difficult at best as a child. My foster mom was wonderful, but I had trouble letting her in sometimes. I actually had my first child - a daughter - Mackenzie close to Mother's Day. She turned 7 this Sunday & what a gift she is. Her entrance into the world was challenging, but with the due dilligance of my ob she was saved. God has been so good to grant me the gift of motherhood. My prayer everyday is that… Continue

The best gift of all!
As I reflect on the gift of Easter I am waiting for news on my birth mom who has been moved to an end of life care center. No invasive measures just morphine for the pain. Fortunately, I was able to spend some time with her recently and confirm that she too has received the gift of eternal life and will soon join my heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for the gift of your son for my mother.

I am an avid talk radio listener and news watcher and like you have been deluged lately with the depressing talk of an economy in trouble, job losses and scary drops in the market. While this news was discouraging, it has gotten too personal lately. One of our closest friends was laid off a few weeks ago, two other families’s affected by job loss at our church and yet another friend who is a financial advisor, has been overwhelmed by it all. What About Your Friends
The Lord woke me early this morning & as I thought of all I have to do today I was reminded of my friends. Actually, speaking at a MOPS group this morning about the subject of friendship - one of my favorites!
